We welcome to the Board of Management, Nomsa Makhoba
Nomsa Makhoba loves bringing dreams into reality. She is inspired by actions that impact peoples' lives positively. Her career spans over two decades, having worked in various positions from junior to senior management. She has gained technical experience in various fields including Sales & Business Development, Marketing, Human Capital Management, Office Administration and Strategy.
Nomsa is motivated by a combination of birthing new projects and maintaining existing initiatives. She has participated in a number of these over the years with the most notable ones being her role as a Change Agent in the merger process involving two municipal owned entities, being part of a team that was involved in the expansion of business operations into West Africa in her position with a construction company, and being part of a team that set up a firm of consulting engineers and project managers.

Nomsa has acquired and developed various key skills over the years, including analytical and decision making skills, attention to detail, forward thinking and strategic thinking skills, communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, general management and leadership skills. Her industry experience includes Retail, FMCG, Oil and Energy, Financial Services, Engineering, Construction and Local Government. She has worked for various organizations over the years including Tiger Brands, Unilever, Total SA, Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, just to mention a few. She currently serves as Executive Manager for Corporate Affairs at the East London IDZ.

Her current position at the East London IDZ allows her to live her passion of impacting people's lives positively through the various Corporate Social Investment initiatives that the organisation is involved in.
Nomsa holds a Masters in Business Leadership from the School of Business Leadership at UNISA. She loves sports, outdoors, reading and travelling. Her core values are integrity, responsibility and accountability, decisiveness, drive, self-discipline, respect and excellence. She is registered as a Master HR Professional with the South African Board for People Practices. She is also member of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa. |
